A contemporary drama-comedy that navigates the complexities of modern relationships and self-discovery, blurring the lines between reality and imagination. Follow D’s journey as he channels his emotions into creating and staging a play, using the creative process as a means of healing from heartbreak. 

Throughout the play, the audience are invited to question the authenticity of D’s stories, wondering if they are genuine reflections of past experiences or figments of their imagination aiding in the grieving process.

Roy’s Story

Meet Roy Draper, an older gay man with the most unconventional of pasts. Journey with him as he peels away the complex layers of his life, reflecting upon memorable moments and game changing relationships. Experience Roy’s passion, his honesty, his guilt. Discover the father he never really knew, and the mother he finally came to know, the joy and heartbreak of his first crush, the anguish of the kind and innocent girl he betrayed and the harsh realities of being a gay man in the turbulent 1980s.
